Abstract

Core VIII examines the conditions under which a large transdisciplinary corpus becomes legible, teachable and governable without being reduced. Across ten DOI-anchored working papers, the sequence develops a theory of archival metabolism, scalar grammar, metadata architecture, epistemic latency, research-system stability, radical pedagogy, thermal justice, archival fatigue, expansion discipline and diagonal reading. Pentagon I defines the internal infrastructure of the field. It treats the archive as a digestive surface, establishes the grammatical threshold through which accumulated data becomes a knowledge body, formalizes synthetic legibility for human and machine readers, identifies latency as a source of epistemic value, and closes with a model of hardened nuclei and plastic peripheries for living research systems. Pentagon II turns this infrastructure toward education, urban justice and field governance. It asks how a complex framework becomes learnable without simplification, how heat reveals the unequal city, how evidentiary excess produces archive fatigue, why expanding fields require discipline, and how diagonal reading permits responsible entry into a field that cannot be mastered in advance. Core VIII is therefore a methodological core. It does not merely expand the Socioplastics corpus; it defines the protocols through which a dense field can be organized, transmitted, cited, protected and entered.
